"Industrial Chic 2," 36x44 mixed media by Carol Nelson

This is a commission painting I did for collectors looking for an industrial grunge look. Heavy in texture, the painting also has 3 aluminum metal panels at the top (they look white in the photo) that wrap around the sides. The central red feature has 9 glass tiles in shades of gold, beige and taupe. The central black vertical feature is covered with clear epoxy resin, giving a smooth glass-like finish that contrasts with the rough texture in the rest of the painting.

This is another in my mixed media tree series.  There are some sparkly elements in it, such as aluminum foil and a glitter paper, all covered with a layer of crystal clear epoxy resin.

Geological Abstract Art Painting "Sacred Ground" by Colorado Mixed Media Artist Carol Nelson

This is another in my geologic abstract series celebrating warm, earthy tones of the West. I must apologize for the photo in that the copper and gold metal foil squares do not appear shiny. 

Also, there are several passages in the painting that have soft metallic sheen which do not show on the photo.

A black canvas floater type frame complements this work perfectly and is INCLUDED, along with shipping in the US.

Final dimensions of the piece, not counting spacing between the canvases are 24 inches tall and 50 inches wide. The heavy texture was achieved using flexible modeling paste and rug backing for the pattern. The metallic elements are metal leaf in gold and copper.
