THE SECRET KEEPER

12 x 12" Acrylic on Textured Wood Panel

This was a fun piece to do.  After texturing the background I painted it in my normal way, but the Raven was done a little differently.  His body was painted with a stick.  I wanted a little more spontaneity to his feathers so I used a stick, dipped in black paint.  When I hit the 'bumps' in the texture it gave it the look I was going for.

'FLIGHT'

FLIGHT  ~  this is a 10 x 10" Mixed Media Collage on textured Wood panel.  I started out doing the symmetrical pieces of the background for a Still Life and then I put it aside for a few weeks.  When I came back to it I decided it wasn't quite 'there' and added the splash of Turquoise.  That's when I envisioned the Raven and it literally it took 'flight'  :)  For more information on this piece Please visit me HERE:  FLIGHT
