Mixed Media Bird Collage “Where’s Our Breakfast?” by Carol Nelson Fine Art

Where's Our Breakfast?

This is a torn paper collage.  I love the way the various papers add texture to the painting.

My neighbor feeds crows at her house.  There's a lot of cawing around her house.  I thought of her when I painted it, and she snapped it up as soon as she saw it.

STOP AND SMELL THE ... UH ... DAISIES.

STOP AND SMELL THE ... UH ... DAISIES.

6 x 6" Acrylic on Textured and Crackle Background.

I've had this small background forever, just waiting for the right idea to come along and say "it's mine!"  I don't know why this idea claimed this space but I'm happy with the results so who am I to question it!  :)

GREETINGS FROM THE BROTHERHOOD ....

'THE BROTHERHOOD'

This is just a small 4 x 4" piece done with a mix of Acrylic and Ink on Wood Panel.  For some reason I am going through a Raven/Crow phase right now.  Whatever the reason, I've been enjoying it so I guess that is what really counts.  To see more information on these two fellows, and to see some of the other Ravens I've done recently, Please visit my Website Below:

'FLIGHT'

FLIGHT  ~  this is a 10 x 10" Mixed Media Collage on textured Wood panel.  I started out doing the symmetrical pieces of the background for a Still Life and then I put it aside for a few weeks.  When I came back to it I decided it wasn't quite 'there' and added the splash of Turquoise.  That's when I envisioned the Raven and it literally it took 'flight'  :)  For more information on this piece Please visit me HERE:  FLIGHT
