The scene in ‘I Remember, I Don’t Remember’ is that of hiking in a deep canyon in the remote Cedar Mesa area of southern Utah. Indeed, look carefully and you’ll see a hiker walking in the narrow passage revealed on the righthand side of the painting. Gauzy curtains of blue and rust fade the view in and out of focus — much like our memories — as words — thoughts — come in and out of mind. . . .
The text emerging in this painting comes from ‘The Call of the Wild,’ the epic poem by Robert Service.

The scene in 'Have You . . . ?' is that of the high alpine trail leading to and from New Mexico's highest summit, Wheeler Peak. Gauzy curtains of rusty paint cause the view to fade in and out of focus — much like our memories — as words — thoughts — come in and out of mind; three hikers walk on ahead.
The text emerging in this painting comes from ‘The Call of the Wild,’ the epic poem by Robert Service.

The scene in ’Listen to the Silence’ is the hike up New Mexico’s highest summit, Wheeler Peak. The two figures stand at a spectacular overlook: below is Williams Lake, and out beyond them to the west is the Taos Ski Valley. The text emerging in this painting comes from ‘The Call of the Wild,’ the epic poem by Robert Service.
