"Red Vase" Contemporary Floral Painting By Donna Holdsworth
This painting is done on 14x11 textured stretched canvas. Many layers of acrylic, textures, glazes and metalics. I loved the underpainting on this one. It was a beautiful manderine orange with a salt technique, but I just could not make it work as a whole painting. I ended up painting over it but was able to salvage some by scraping around the silk cloth. Matte finish to "de-glare" the metalics. My version of some daffs I pass by on my morning walk.
