Penny Rhodes Colorado Artist, New Work "Dance Hall Girl" Victorian West Series, charcoal and pastel on frosted acetate
Inspired by historical stories and rumors of a dance hall girl in Cripple Creek who after getting into a fight with her lover, started the great fire of the town in the 1800's. "What a tangled web we weave, go 'round with circumstance, can someone show me how to tell, the dancer from the dance?"...from the song "Saturday Night", Desperado Album by the Eagles.
