"Pink Camellias with Blue & White Pottery"by Dottie Martz, oil, 11X14 linen panel

This is just off my easel...I finished it this morning. It is an oil painted on a linen panel and it is 11X14. My winter blooming Camellias are almost finished and I had to get a painting of them before they were gone! I have something blooming in my yard every month. I planned that! I can always find some flower to paint that way! I did this same thing is every place I have lived...even though I didn't paint as much back then (raising family, etc.) Little did I know how precious it was to have a different bloom every month! Even in the snow..which is seldom here in south-eastern Virginia. That is the Pansy....in case you were wondering. They perk there little heads up in the snow and it is beautiful.
