Vivid Vase

I like color. I know the rules, but just can't seem to use a limited palette, but then I think...why not? This work is painted over a textured bad canvas of white daisies. The daisies beneath create undertones I could not have purposely created . It remains one of my favorite works. A Bob Burridge workshop taught me to paint with my fingers instead of brushes. Its my favorite technique, even thought my fingers scream at the end of the day. I enjoy the freedom and loose quality the technique produces.

Blogging is new to me. Computers remain challenging. I enjoy reading blogs, and experiencing other artist works. Hopefully, it will get easier.
